Warning Signals – Now Is the Time to Get Your Vehicle Serviced

In today’s fast paced time, where we have so much to do every day, we tend to forget to take care of petty things which when fail to perform, momentarily put our lives to a pause. A car is one such means whose breakdown can widely affect our daily commutation necessities. It is therefore, imperative to get our vehicles serviced from time to time in order to keep them running smoothly on the road and also to increase their life span.

While many of us change oil at regular intervals, we forget to keep a check on other essential things such as the coolant level, underside of the vehicle, its exhaust, any kind of squeaks or noises, etc. Here, in this post, we will define few warning signs that you must look for if you want to maintain a healthy vehicle.

Engine Light

When it comes to the dash, attend to it as soon as possible. It’s a major sign that indicates there is something wrong with your vehicle. Though there’s nothing to panic about, but it certainly is important to take your car for a service now. The flashing of the engine light means that there’s an immediate problem that needs your attention. Call your roadside assistance provider right away and let the mechanic analyse the problem. Most car breakdown services include this type of issue along with towing, jumpstart and even fuelling.

Excessive Exhaust Smoke

If your vehicle is emitting excessive smoke from the rear exhaust, make sure of getting it checked as soon as possible as its not normal for the exhaust to emit white or black smoke in excessive quantities. This may be an indicator of oil leak.

Noise While Driving

A little squeak noise is normal when driving. But if the noise increases and doesn’t go away, especially a dragging noise that comes from the wheels, this can be a sign of a problem with your wheel’s bearing. On the other hand, if you hear a grinding noise when you hit the break, it may be an indication that you must get the break repaired or replaced now.

Just remember, it is better to be cautious especially when it comes to your vehicles. If you notice any major problems, make sure of getting them checked at the nearest service station to prevent any kind of damage to the vehicle and even your life as a matter of fact.
